Sian has enjoyed working in the Education sector for over 20 years. Her first role was working at Hays Education where she specialised in working with schools both in the UK and overseas, with an expertise in partnering with schools to assist them in finding their permanent staff. Sian worked for Hays Education for 10 years rising to become Regional Manager responsible for the leadership and strategic direction of 6 offices in the South, including London.

After leaving Hays, Sian set up her own consultancy business and through this started consulting for PiXL which was in its startup phase and needed someone to cover a variety of roles including communications, event organisation, membership co-ordination, marketing, digital offering and managing the operations team. During her time at PiXL it grew from circa 80 schools up to 3000 at its peak membership and from a team of 4 to over 40 staff members and over 100 consultants. Her most recent positions included serving as a Director of Operations and Director of People, both of which entailed board responsibilities.

Since leaving PiXL in Sept 2023 Sian has revived her consultancy business SCJ Consulting and is specialising in working in partnership with MATs and Schools. Her focus is to assist them with Executive recruitment and head hunting, onboarding support, career advancement and ‘people’ related consultancy such as talent and succession planning.

We ensure safer recruitment practices at every stage of the recruitment process, in-line with the latest KCSIE guidance, and maintain open and transparent communication that enable us to help our clients find the most valuable people for their schools, colleges, and charities.
